The average American throws away 68 pounds of clothing per year. Don't let that be you!

This week college and universities from all 50 states will compete in the nation's largest collegiate clothing drive. SustainU, a clothing company that makes 100 percent recycled clothing, is teaming up with Planet Aid, a nonporfit that collects and recycles used clothing and shoes, to present One Shirt Challenge.

One Shirt Challenge is a competition to see which school can collect the most clothing, while also raising awareness of the importance of textile recycling. The school that collects the most clothes in their division will receive the title of "Big Shirt On Campus" and receive custom-made recycled shirts from SustainU. To all college students out there: Go out and donate all unused clothing and help your school win! For more information, click here.
